Colophon

"Colophon" comes from a Greek word meaning 'a summit,' 'top,' 'finishing.' It is a description of the details and methods behind a publication, often found on the last few pages of a book.

Typography

The Good in Bed logo was designed by Jen Wink and was set in ITC Franklin Gothic Demi. The tagline is in ITC Franklin Gothic Book. This site utilizes the @font-face tag to render out page titles and subtitles which also employ the use ITC Franklin Gothic. Body text for the site is set in Lucida Grande, a web safe font.

Design

Neoteric Design designed and developed this site working from the original design specifications crafted by Emily Blair. Neoteric redesigns websites with a focus on customer needs, site goals, ease of use and engaging design. The site redesign was launched in the spring of 2010.

Technical

We used Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash and TextMate to create this site. The site runs on PHP. All content and forums are maintained using Movable Type (5.12). Additional site features include the use of the jQuery javascript library. The site is authored using HTML 5 and complies with web standards as set by the W3C.
