Shower vs Grower

By ShowerVsGrower on Aug 17, 2010 at 6:45 PM

I have noticed over the years that my penis size when flaccid varies from day to day. Now, I know men get shrinkage when in cold water, taking different drugs, energy drinks/pills, etc. But are there other factors that can affect a flaccid penis's size? I have noticed that more often than not, my member seems to be in a "shrinkage" state, even when none of the previously mentioned causes are not a factor? Its really bothering me and I was wondering if there was anything I can do to make it a more "normal" size. When erect I am larger than average, but flaccid, at times very small (to me). Please help?

Why not just enjoy the look of surprise on someone's face?

This is a very common concern among men with sexual partners as well as just walking about in the locker room at the gym. Men do judge other men about the size of their penises when flacid causing men to wear towels or turn to the wall than to be judged for not having a longer flaccid penis.

My suggestion would be to focus more on the size of it erect and enjoy your good fortune and secret and not focus on the size of it flaccid.

Sometimes focusing on the size can be a psychological issue related to masculinity, body image and other issues as well. It might be something to explore if you cannot become comfortable with your size in its non-erect state.

There's no real upside to it being big when flaccid. It's just more to get in the way (i.e. sports etc.)

You get the advantage of both worlds if it's a grower and not a shower. It's small when you don't need it but is more than adequate when you do.

Penis size varies among flaccid penises just as it does among erect penises. Differences in appearance may be greater between flaccid penises than they are when they are erect. And the documented range in penis length and girth is surprisingly large!

My favorite model for sexual response suggests that "secondary stimuli" like seeing engorged genitals after you've already started interacting with your partner, can increase sexual excitement for both partners, (makes sense - right?). I am thinking that having this BIG of a difference between pre and post arousal size could be an especially positive erotic turn-on (or "trigger"), visually for everyone involved.

Keep in mind that in dealing with sexual issues, they aren't typically deemed to be a "problem" unless they are creating problems for you or your partner(s). And when there ARE problems its a good idea to focus on what's working"....and it sounds like there is a lot working for you.
