Can't finish an orgasm

By Momof3 on Jun 15, 2012 at 8:16 AM

I've always been multi-orgasmic; haven't previously had issues climaxing; usually only climax through clitoral stimulation; am in a committed marriage; am on meds that can lower sex drive (mine is currently at 0). The following occurs if I am masturbating or w/my husband. If arousal were a 1-10 scale, 1 being a kiss and 10 being an orgasm, I get to a 9 1/2 w/out really feeling anything sexual. My heart rate/breathing will accelerate; I can feel my vaginal muscles start to tense, but it is no different from flexing my biceps. If I can get the pressure just right, and it seems to take more and more pressure, I will jump to 13 for about 1/2 a sec! However, I go back to to a 9 1/2, so I'm left VERY unsatisfied or frustrated. The good/bad news is that I can continue to orgasm. They will get more and more intense, but again are a flash and I go back to 9 1/2. So I never feel sated. Not sure whether to brag or blush I masturbated for like an hour, had 20-30 orgasms and STILL felt frustrated

I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand the issue -- is it that you're not having orgasms or they're not as intense? Is the problem physiological, or is it a lack of emotional intimacy?

Is it that your orgasms are not lasting very long, therefore not leading to feeling satisfied? Which medications are you on?

Yes, they are not lasting. Like literally a sec or two and there is no satisfaction b/c I feel like I'm still on the verge of an orgasm. I'm on Ocella birth control, adderall, levothyroxin and zoloft.

Almost sounds like the rare and elusive dry orgasm I have had (I am a guy). Some feelings of orgasm but no lasting feeling.

I suspect your meds have altered the way you experience these. I was on one med that would not even let me finish a few years back. Check with your doctor and see if you can review your meds.
